The Role and Responsibilities

  • You will source, screen, and evaluate candidates with engineering and manufacturing backgrounds.
  • Use applicant tracking systems (ATS), job boards, LinkedIn, and industry-specific platforms to identify top talent.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering companies to understand hiring needs and technical requirements.
  • Serve as a strategic partner by advising clients on market trends, candidate availability, and competitive compensation.
  • Build strong relationships with candidates to understand career aspirations and ensure alignment with job opportunities.
  • Guide candidates through the interview, offer negotiation, and onboarding processes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, skill demand, and emerging technologies in manufacturing and engineering.
  • Provide insights to both clients and candidates about opportunities and challenges within the market.
  • Ensure all hiring processes comply with employment laws and regulations, especially for roles requiring certifications or clearances.
  • Understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes, roles, and terminologies.
  • Familiarity with disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, chemical, and industrial engineering, as well as lean manufacturing and automation.
  • Proficient in sourcing strategies, behavioral interviewing, and competency assessment.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple job requisitions and meet tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional ability to connect with diverse stakeholders, from engineers to HR managers and executives.
  • Skilled in negotiation and conflict resolution.
  • Experienced in using ATS platforms, CRM tools, and professional networks like LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Ability to address hiring challenges in niche roles or high-demand skill areas.
  • Adapt to changes in market conditions or shifts in client requirements.
  • Develop relationships with passive candidates and maintain a robust talent pipeline.
  • Stay informed about advancements in manufacturing methods (e.g., 3D printing, IoT) and engineering tools.
  • Collaborate with clients to improve their appeal to top-tier candidates through transparent job descriptions and positive branding.

Skills and Qualifications Needed to be Successful

  • The successful candidate will have at least 12 months of agency recruiting experience in Manufacturing/Engineering OR an Engineering background and a desire to get into recruitment.
  • You will be salesy, autonomous, driven, ready to hit the ground running.
  • This is a hybrid role and you will need to go into the office in 4 days/week.
